Statement of the Job :
Part-time, regular position 8 hours per week with a tentative start date of July 2, 2018. Schedule to be determined in consultation with supervisor and flexible within normal Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm business hours. Some evenings and weekend work may be required.
The person in this position supports 4-H clubs, groups and activities in Somerset County. This position is based in Skowhegan, Maine. Starting pay for this position is $12.69/hr.
About the University :
Supporting 4-H volunteers in planning and conducting educational programs for youth in the county.
Delivering educational programs using established curriculum.
Organizing county 4-H events.
Promoting 4-H programs and activities in the community through communicating, working with local schools. Answering questions, making suggestions, assessing client needs and providing support.
Contributes to newsletters and announcements by gathering information, taking pictures, writing copy, designing and editing, preparing for print and overseeing distribution.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to travel normally requiring a valid State of Maine driver?s license is required. Mileage is reimbursed at current University rate.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
